I didn't feel comfortable with the situation, so I just left, and with that, my long election day came to an end. Overall, the election day experience was decent enough. The voters were mostly polite and gracious, and the community was lovely — lunch, snacks, and bottled waters for poll workers throughout the day were donated by local businesses. I made $250 for my efforts, which probably won't show up for several months.
