prints the architecture name, aka
machine name. Should be equivalent to uname
-m
.
The arch
utility exits 0 on
success, and >0 if an error occurs.
An arch
utility was present in util-linux
from 2.2 to 2.13, and first appeared in GNU coreutils 6.9.90 and
OpenBSD 5.0
