They are crunchy, with a pungent flavor when raw. If cooked, yellow onions develop a milder flavor, that is both nutty and sweet. Yellow onions are a good source of <b>vitamin C</b>. </p><p>Yellow onions can be sauteed, braised, caramelized, grilled or dry-roasted. They are used to add flavor to broths, soups and stews.
