release_guidelines.txt (483B)

  1. Counting from the moment the fix is made/committed to when it
  2. *needs* to be into a release.
  3. * security: few hours if possible, less than 2~3 days at worst
  4. * show-stopper: few hours to less than 7 days at worst
  5. * bugfix: 2 weeks ~ 1 month
  6. * "fix typo": 6 months, 1 year at worst
  7. Ultimately all changes should be released after a year to avoid
  8. ending with a gap between the release and version-control.
  9. And not all are released immediately to avoid tagging releases too frequently.
